Home Buying Process

The home buying process can be one of the most exciting, but sometimes a stressful, experience you will ever go through. That’s why, when buying, it’s crucial for you to have all the available resources necessary to make a well-informed decision.

Negotiating the Deal

The approach we take to negotiate the best deal depends on several situations and who we are dealing with during the process. Negotiations can involve many factors relating to different market conditions, homes and sellers.

Financing

Securing your financing with your mortgage lender is one of the most important steps before and during closing the deal. Moving forward with a home purchase and finding the right lender for your needs should be top priority.

Finding Your Home

Finding buyers a home is an important part of the agent’s job, but alongside this, the real skills come into play once you have found a home. Presenting offers, negotiating, closing, appraisals, walk-throughs, communicating, etc.

Inspections & Appraisals

Once buyers are under contract, inspections and appraisals are a few steps that will need to be performed before closing. Inspections will look into the home in more detail and appraisals help determine the value for lenders.

The Walk-through

Before heading to the closing table, a walk-through is normally scheduled a day or two before signing the paperwork. The main purpose for this is to verify that the home is in the same condition it was when you agreed to purchase it.

Closing on Your Home

This will be an exciting day! There will be many documents to review and sign on the closing day. The closing agent will review and discuss all of these at length with you. There are many key steps to closing and we can talk about these in detail.
